Mixed Berry Smoothie

Frozen fruits and vegetables are frozen at peak ripeness, which makes them a nutritious and convenient option for adding more produce to your plate. Make a balanced smoothie with fruit and adequate protein for a delicious start to the day.

Serves 2

Blend 1 banana (fresh or frozen), 1 cup mixed berries (fresh or frozen), 1 cup spinach (fresh or frozen), 2 cups milk (dairy or non-dairy) and 1 cup Greek yogurt (dairy or non-dairy). Add ice until the smoothie reaches desired consistency and temperature (optional). Pour into 2 glasses and sprinkle 1 Tb hemp seeds on top.

Pro tip: probiotic-rich kefir is an alternative to Greek yogurt in smoothies. Because of kefir’s thinner consistency, the smoothie may require less liquid if kefir is used instead of yogurt.
