Blood oranges are a variety of oranges that have dark, orange-red pulp. Blood oranges taste sweeter than navel oranges, almost similar to raspberries. Make a balanced smoothie for a delicious start to the day.
Serves 2
Peel 1 large blood orange. Add to a blender with 1 banana (fresh or frozen), ½ tsp vanilla extract, 2 cups milk (dairy or non-dairy) and 1 cup Greek yogurt (dairy or non-dairy). Add ice until the smoothie reaches desired consistency and temperature (optional). Pour into 2 glasses.
